Not only cut interest rates but ensure they don't start to acrue until after students have left their course.

Was Blunkett a maths student? Did he pay tuition fees?

The whole system is stupid. I claimed £200 ITA to do a module and because my learner year overlaps October I am not allowed to apply for funding for a University course beginning that same month. Idiotic.

Sorta disturbing that the UK is moving towards American style debt-driven education.

College education absolutely does not need to be that expensive. Damn vultures.

Yup! Reducing money in the system will hit these students hardest as would inevitably reduce stafftime available to ensure university is a transformational experience so they can compete with thosewho start off in better social-financial position.

OK but how about instead of making working class people go into debt they get free education with proper funding by the government? Revolutionary idea, I know.

What is this utter drivel? Universities should be centres of academic learning, not businesses.

Doing both wud help.
