'I thought I was dead': Virginia teacher shot by 6-year-old speaks out

A US teacher shot by a six-year-old student has said she will never forget the look on the boy's face when he pointed the gun at her.

"The morning it felt like just a regular school day, but I started hearing things and things started happening that made my fear grow," Ms Zwerner said.Watch: Police updates on school shooting with six year old Ms Zwerner said doctors at the hospital told her the gunshot wound "could've been fatal" but since the bullet went through her hand it "most likely saved my life".

How is that even possible..

Obviously can't prosecute a 6 year old but surely his parents have some culpability here? No 6 year old should be able to access a firearm!

Spot the elephant in the room. 'The family... said he suffered from an 'acute disability'... the day of the shooting he had attended school alone.' Did anyone ask how a boy with an 'acute disability' was able to take a gun from the house? The parents should be prosecuted.

How the hell does a 6 year old shoot an adult at a school?
