We were in grade 5 when the school had all the girls go to the gym to watch a short movie in on getting your period. A good parent (typically mom) would have this talk with her daughter at home.

This is crazy. We did the “family living” unit in 5th grade back in the late 1980s. The teacher did a great job. It’s the only reason I knew I wasn’t bleeding to death when I got my period at summer camp three years later. Until that point I did not even know I had a vagina.

Read the bill this morning and it makes no mention of what kids talk about. The bill is regarding what teachers can teach and at what grade level. Which is something that every gov does. Although admittedly FLA is a little behind the times on the gay stuff.
It is already illegal in California for a teacher to mention that only 'girls' get periods. They must say that both boys and girls have periods....
