Great news for the college

A Nottinghamshire college has received an 'Outstanding' rating after a recent inspection by Ofsted. Inspectors attended Portland College, near Mansfield, across three days in January 2023 to complete an inspection.

The college was graded 'Outstanding' in its quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and its leadership and management. It was also graded 'Outstanding' in its provision for learners with high needs. “There is an unwavering commitment demonstrated by staff to promote and facilitate learners’ personal development. The majority of learners move on to meaningful destinations after college such as adult day services, supported living, employment or further study.”
