“I once did a project in Grade 8 about being an MMA fighter in the future and I actually didn’t believe it when I was saying it. It was just one of the coolest things to be, in my opinion,” said Sheppard. Members of the Lot 36 Renzo Gracie P.E.I. Academy in Fort Augustus hold up four fingers to celebrate the mixed martial arts club’s perfect 4-0 record during Fight League Atlantic 3 at the Moncton Coliseum in 2022. “This is his passion, and from the time he wakes in the morning until bed, MMA is on his mind,” he added.
