SINGAPORE — Singapore Airlines (SIA) has apologised for causing “distress and embarrassment” to 23-year-old student Isabella Beale, a congenital amputee, who claimed that she was discriminated on separate occasions while travelling to and from Europe with her family due to her disability.

SINGAPORE — Singapore Airlines has apologised for causing"any distress and embarrassment” to a 23-year-old student who claimed that she was discriminated due to her disability while travelling on the airline from Australia to Europe and back with her family.

The airline added that it has reviewed its internal processes since the incident, and has"taken steps to improve on communications with its customers for similar matters".Ms Beale told ABC News that her emergency exit seat for her January trips was booked by a family member. “Everyone is looking at us at this point, and can overhear the conversation,” she was quoted as saying by ABC News.“I had a little cry because it was such an affronting thing to happen… it was humiliating and upsetting,” she added.

More staff entered the plane when she sought for explanation on why she had to switch seats, with the other passengers watching on, she said. The requirements to be seated in the emergency exit row are available on the SIA website, and must be reviewed and agreed to at the time of booking. "This decision could have been made at check in and communicated to Ms Beale, and we sincerely apologise that it was not. We thank Ms Beale for kindly agreeing with the request to move seats during taxi, take-off and landing," the spokesman said.

Highly unlikely the crew will mention get out unless she was uncooperative. SIA crew knows their jobs are on the line if they behave this.

I dun think so the crew will use the word “get out

In a nutshell, the initiative to apologize seem merely to mellow down the situation to move on; it probably doesn’t matter who is at fault.

The ticket was booked by her family member who did not read the regulations stated in SIA website. Its words against words if the cabin crew ever spoke to her in a rude and discriminating tone and words. This article only mentioned the story from this girl than the crew. Why?

She knew she shouldn’t seat there but yet blame the staff , disregard the safety of the entire plane. I don’t think the aircrew need to apologise
