The research by scientists at the University of Exeter in England was described as “intriguing” by Alzehimer’s Research UK

A Mediterranean diet of nuts, seafood, whole grains and vegetables could lower the risk of dementia by almost a quarter, according to a new study by researchers at the University of Exeter in England.

The findings, which were published in the BMC Medicine journal, are based on data from more than 60,000 individuals contained in the UK Biobank, an online database of medical and lifestyle records from more than half a million people.
