The suspects were identified as Jerome Balot, Mark Pedrosa, Daniel Perry, Michael Lambert Ritalde, Earl Anthony Romero, Tung Chung Teng and Sandro Victorino.They were charged with violation of Republic Act 11053, otherwise known as the Anti-Hazing Law.Aside from the seven, five persons of interest are under the National Bureau of Investigation protective custody.Salilig went missing on February 18. His family and friends turned to social media to raise awareness about his disappearance.
Subsequent autopsy showed that he suffered severe blunt force trauma to his lower extremities.At least 18 other fraternity members who supposedly took part in the hazing and had knowledge of what happened to Salilig are still being hunted by authorities.Also on Friday, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla announced that six more persons of interest in the case have expressed their willingness to turn themselves to authorities.
