Bryant Shephard, 41, was charged with felony improper relationship between an educator and student. He is being held on $250,000 bail. Investigators became aware of the allegations on March 2 after Shephard was observed “having inappropriate contact with a female student while on campus,” New Braunfels Police said.A post on New Braunfels Independent School District’s social media shows that Shephard has been with the district since at least 2020, working as a resource math and special education teacher. The district could not be reached for comment at the time of publication to provide further details.
Shephard was arrested just after 1 p.m. Tuesday at a San Antonio address by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Task Force. He was taken to the Bexar County Jail and is awaiting transport to the Comal County Jail.
