Education Secretary said schools shut during Covid because teachers 'hate work'

The latest tranche of leaked messages show exchanges between former health secretary Matt Hancock and ex-education secretary Sir Gavin Williamson

Messages published by the Daily Telegraph show Sir Gavin asked Mr Hancock for help securing PPE for schools, adding: ‘Some will just want to say they can’t [open] so they have an excuse to avoid having to teach, what joys!!!’ Months later, Mr Hancock messaged Sir Gavin congratulating him on getting A-level exams delayed for a few weeks, writing: ‘Cracking announcement today. What a bunch of absolute arses the teaching unions are.’The then-Health Secretary replied with two laughing emojis alongside a bullseye.Sir Gavin tweeted that his comments had been ‘about some unions and not teachers’

They are doing the same with Teachers Strikes.....they made every excuse possible during covid not to have children in schools.

There's just one thing that bugs me with teachers going on strike...they said during the pandemic that they were concerned about pupils failing behind in education and affecting there development and then they go on strike abandoning the pupils

This is what we have to put up with in this country absolute clowns 🤡🤡and cowards
