The Adamson University (AdU) in Manila on Tuesday confirmed the death of one of its students who has been reported missing since Feb.

18, 2023.'It is with great sorrow that we confirm the untimely passing of one of our students last February 18, 2023 after the report of his disappearance,' according to a statement by the university.'We are one with his family and friends in grieving this unexpected and unfortunate loss,' the statement added.John Matthew T. Salilig was last seen at the Jac Liner Buendia Bus Terminal in Manila at about 10:26 a.m. on February 18.

The AdU administration urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified information and to pray for Salilig's family 'during this difficult time' while an investigation by the university is ongoing.'The University has conducted its own investigation and has cooperated with the authorities on the matter,' AdU said. 'Rest assured, we will not allow anything to come amiss.
