The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments Tuesday pertaining to GOP-led states aiming to block President Biden's student debt forgiveness plan.

When announcing the program last August, Biden said,"When I campaigned for President [in 2020], I made a commitment that we’d provide student debt relief. And I’m honoring that commitment today."

GOP-led states opposing the plan say students struggled with paying off college loans before COVID-19, and the Biden administration is using it to gain political points. Assuming the state and private plaintiffs can overcome that procedural barrier, the key questions could come down to how much discretion the executive branch enjoys to enact unilateral emergency policies in the guise of public health, when that authority ceases and who decides.

The day after arguments in the student debt relief cases, the Supreme Court was scheduled to address anotheradministration policy: Title 42, restricting asylum requests for migrants at the border in the name of public health.

I hope they turn it down

Possibly consider reimbursing tuition paid for passing grades in math, science (hard, not social), English, and American History. (not Red, Yellow, Black, or White History... American History) No, never mind. Don’t do it.

Oh we have a Supreme Court? That’s odd

The debt isn't going to be canceled, it's just being passed to someone who didn't go to college or already paid their tuition off. In the lazy, self-centered, me world of this generation, it's called fairness... ain't nothing fair about it.

Cancel my mortgage while you are at it……. If a Loan is not a loan, then I should qualify!!!

I want universities and colleges to show the public and government their justification and need for their astronomical tuition fees. Fees that put students in debts for years. I want a degree, not pay for fucking football team expenses, as they make money on the side with brands

This is not student loan forgiveness. This is the transfer of debt to the American taxpayer, many of whom never went past high school.

Allegedly, The U.S. Gov’t took over the Student Loan business to make it run better and turn a profit. Sam actually did a terrible job, lost billions of $ and drives tuition up. Now POTUS plans to rob ALL taxpayers to reduce the debts of a few. Another “F” for JoeBiden

Biden knew this was unconstitutional. There’s no doubt why he did this just before the midterms. This does nothing to deal with the predatory loan problem. It was just a ploy to buy votes.

How about you took the loans out you pay them like the rest of us did. Everyone wants a free hand out makes me sick.

Pay your bills don't pass it on to me.

Then Cancel all of my Debts. It's only Fair.

Question... Biden wants to forgive student debt for college tuition, for degrees that the students can't find a job. Biden is going to use federal dollars to pay the tuition of students? Those federal dollars come from middle class taxpayers. Why can't we just say NO!

Play for your own fucking loans!!! I paid for mine and my childrens! Who do you think you are.?

When Biden was a Sen. He made a law that students could NOT write off school debit during bankruptcy. Universities supported this. After that, Universities and college started raising tuition to go to school. If some decides to go to school. They pay the bill, not the public
