Mr Hug, 32, said despite having only started train driving last month, his training immediately "kicked in" when he saw the puppy. Along with his driving instructor, Mr Timmins, he managed to collect the uninjured female puppy from the tracks and take her to a nearby platform, where they fed her ham.Sick dog and her puppies rescued during heatwave

Stefan & his instructor were fab, they knew they had to rescue the dog from the tracks, Stefan even got bit in the process, I was the controller on duty so took them to the control room. Dog was very scared but seemed to be comfortable on a fleece blanket I had in my locker.
