A round of severe storms will be possible for all of Alabama on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Tornadoes, wind gusts up to 70 mph, hail and heavy rain, starting as soon as late morning in west Alabama and pushing eastward through the nighttime hours.

There will also be a risk of a few strong storms late Wednesday night for the northwest corner of the state. NEW: Minor tweaks to threat areas & timing made w/ our afternoon update. ALL of Alabama is under a risk for severe weather on Thu. Please make sure you remain weather-aware and have an action plan in place should a warning be issued for your area. Next update Thursday AM.
