The constitution is a rule book for governing. It serves all Australians equally. Singling out any group, no matter how well meaning, is repugnant. We have the same voice to parliament… one vote, one value. With the details hidden until after the vote, you’d be nuts to vote yes.

. Aboriginals NEVER had sovereignty. They had NO government, NO infrastructure, NO system of law - beyond that of caveman. They didn't have fences, footwear or doors. THAT is why no Treaty exists and why no war was declared. 17th Century England faced no civilisation. .
. So the Voice is intended to be the first step to a Treaty, which has the objective of legally enshrining sovereignty of Australia to Aboriginal people. People think this is just being respectful - but it goes far far beyond that. I'm not giving away my right to be equal. .

If sovereignty was never ceded by First Nations people, then Lidia Thorpe must resign from parliament under Section 44(i) of the Constitution.
