Inaugurating the facility, yesterday, Chairman of the broadcast station, Prof. Akim Osunde, said the campus radio, established in 2010, is open to all talented persons regardless of their status.
Represented by Prof. Segun Oyero, the chairman maintained that the quality of audio sound and lyrics that comes out of the station is self-regulated, stating that the university management is hopeful that the new recording studio will enhance quality of projects, albums, as well as other works that would be produced.
Osunde explained that it was the decision of the university management and the entire crew of campus radio to name the recording studios after the donor, Buypowers NG, for his support since 2019, pointing out that it was done in the belief that it will encourage other alumni to emulate the gesture.“We want them to stay back in school, earn their degree and still harness their talents to become a better person,” he added.
