Smoke from a Friday dryer fire may have made some students feel sick, news reports said.

The fire began around 8 a.m. at the technical school’s Mount Joy campus.“The local emergency response was just fantastic,” Mike DelPriore, the school’s chief financial officer,LancasterOnline reported the school reopened about an hour after the fire began. The dryer was removed, and fans were brought in for ventilation.

A school maintenance worker was one of the people evaluated for smoke inhalation, according to LancasterOnline. According to LancasterOnline, the school’s Mount Joy campus offers nine courses, hosts the daycare center Bright Horizons and Mount Joy and is home to the Infusions Bake Shop.
