Alberta promising changes to campuses amid university 'woke' free speech standoff

Widdowson was invited by a professor to speak Wednesday and the University of Lethbridge granted space for the event.University president Mike Mahon, as late as last Thursday, defended the decision to host Widdowson, citing free speech even if the university did not agree with her views. Widdowson said she plans to deliver her speech in a public atrium on the campus Wednesday afternoon and has challenged school security to toss her out.“People are distorting what I’m saying about it. My issue is residential schools were not genocidal. were a misguided effort which often had serious problems.”

Are you suggesting that university students shouldn't be allowed to protest or have the same freedom of speech as guest lecturers? Very authoritarian. We should all strive to be 'woke'

I just woke up to some type of Canadian standoff. Is that like a Mexican standoff but with awake people pointing facts directly at people asleep with alternative facts pointed back? Is that what a Canadian standoff is? Is there going to be a 'Once Upon a time in Canada' movie?
