Republican Sen. Mike Azinger, who introduced the bill, says he wants to give students something to look up to and that it’s okay to “say God” in school. The bill requires that the phrase appears in an area in each school building.

Public schools in West Virginia may soon be required to display the phrase "In God We Trust" in every building if a bill passed by the state Senate on Monday becomes law.

The bill is now heading to the West Virginia House of Delegates. It requires public K-12 schools and public institutions of higher learning to display the official U.S. national motto on durable posters or in frames placed in a "conspicuous place" in each building. The displays must also contain images of the U.S. national and state flags but can't depict any other words, images or information. They must be either be donated or purchased from private donations.

Keep that shit out of public schools. Why are Christians intent on shoving their religion down our children’s throats?

This is the best idea I've heard in a long time. I remember when I was a young student attending public school in America, we were afraid to mention God in school. We were supposed to totally ignore Him and pretend He does not exist.

Is Rep. Mike Azinger on Twitter? How can he be contacted? I'd like to as him'Which God'? Freedom of Religion also means Freedom From Religion. WVGovernor tell Azinger.

This is religious discrimination pure and simple. It is not 'allowing students to feel safe' it is forcing one religion onto everyone and literally writing on the wall that other religions are lesser and unwanted.
