Some have said it feels backhanded to give them money in the same breath as a proposal to encourage students to leave public schools.
My question for GovCox would be if he's also for regulation of private schools. In Utah, private schools don't have to have any accreditation, and teachers don't have to have any certification or training. See here:

Mr. Cox grew up just down the street from Wasatch Academy. Private tuition there is $64k a year. How much will $8k help the average kid in Sanpete County attend Wasatch? We know who this $8k is for.

The Governor needs to 'get right'. The voucher bill simply serves as a vehicle for legislators to funnel money to their cronies under the guise of 'Charter Schools'. Let's keep educational funds in the public schools and universities.
