Park Ridge Niles Community Consolidated School District 64 Superintendent Eric Olson is resigning his position and will leave District 64 on June 30.

“District 64 finances remain strong, and the curriculum continues to evolve toward stronger instruction and resources,” the email to parents stated.After Olson’s email was sent to parents, the District 64 Board sent another email expressing its “deep appreciation for the dedication and service that Dr. Olson has provided to the community during his tenure.”

“Despite having our differences in vision, the District 64 Board offers Dr. Olson our best wishes in his future professional pursuits.” over an attempt to move the traditional Holiday Sing to a Spring Sing. Some parents also questioned the district’s hiring of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultant.
