Pearland ISD Education Foundation's 2021-2022 board of directors and staff attended their annual giving campaign and gala themed Gala en Blanc in 2022. This year's gala is themed"Waltz Across Texas."is back with a Western twist.
Last year's gala, the first such event held since 2019 because of the pandemic, was a Diner en Blanc in which guests only dressed in white. But this year's gala theme is"Waltz Across Texas," inspired by the classic country song and film of the same title. The 6 p.m. April 1 event will include a catered dinner, auctions and live music by Galveston-based The Line Up.The gala's location will be announced March 4 at foundation's pre-gala community celebration at Vallenson's Brewing, 4081 Rice Drier.In 2022, the foundation raised a record-breaking $169,000 through sponsorships, the giving campaign and donations.
The foundation hopes to raise $200,000 at this year's gala and anticipates a full house with 300 guests.
