New South Wales Education Minister Sarah Mitchell says Labor has put out “misleading” teacher workforce numbers in the state.

“Some of the figures that have been put out by New South Wales Labor today are deliberately misleading,” Ms Mitchell told Sky News Australia.

“What they fail to tell the people of New South Wales is that we actually have 10,000 more teachers in the system now than we had a decade ago.“A vacant position doesn’t mean that a teacher isn’t in the role.”
