Teachers in England and Wales have voted to take strike action - but what does it mean for parents?
The National Education Union has announced seven days of strike action. National strikes are scheduled for 1 February, 15 and 16 March. There are several regional dates too. Our education correspondent Hazel Shearing talks through all the answers you need to know, if you’ve got a minute.

Seen lots of ballots over my 20 years but never like this. Conservatives are meant to understand market forces but seem to ignore them when they choose. There aren't enough teachers because the pay and working conditions are inadequate.
Surprise surprise, I wondered how long it would be before they jumped on the bad wagon.
That the people who look after their children, educate them, prepare them for life. Whilst also working overtime almost everyweek arent being paid enough, and want greater and more equal pay for their labour? That what they need to know?
