Year 12 students in Victoria are getting a taste of working in a healthcare setting while helping to plug staffing gaps.

All this started after the mandates came in. People can deny that fact while they're waiting for an ambulance that will never come.

VicGovDH VictorianCHO this is concerning given that students in schools have the highest levels of Covid infections in our communities.

Absolutely no issues with that. I have got a problem with entire education system upto grade 12. There are lot of things taught where kids aren't interested and it's never used in their lifetime. Kids should be given choice as they transition from primary into secondary.

s_schubert2 Fantastic story Shannon! Great that students are seeing opportunities in their local community, and looking at how they can make the most of it for themselves and others. With huge numbers of unfilled positions across regional Oz, every extra skilled person makes a difference!

s_schubert2 Although they are Secondary school students, not High ( and not Tech, sadly).👍

s_schubert2 Great story, Shannon. They’re doing the same at Charlton Hospital 👍 Kids getting involved in another part of their community. Terrific stuff👏👏

Meanwhile experienced nurses are picking fruit and trained Doctors are working in florist.

Ironically, refusing a dangerous and ineffective drug makes you unemployable in healthcare according to TAXPAYER FUNDED bureaucrats, but having children who are easily manipulated into making poor decisions is favorable in this workplace.

People are really clueless about child labour issues. A school student wanting to work at award wages is not child labour. It is a choice children make to be able to afford things they could not otherwise have.

This is brilliant, as more students get a chance!

This is concerning because schools have the highest levels of Covid infections, putting kids into hospitals could potentially lead to more Covid in the hospital & aged care. I hope these students wear a N95/P2 mask to school.

Who replaces them when they get Covid too?

because child labour is the solution to underfunded hospitals

One of my work experience jobs showed me exactly where I did not want to work.

Brilliant 🐕

Good. Giving our youth an insight into the reality that is health care.
