There wasn't much stopping the shooter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — his threats were ignored, the campus was wide open and students had nowhere to hide. Though 10 months have passed, students in Broward County are still exposed to potential danger.

There is a book called 'Rampage: The Social Roots of School Shootings' that explains that most of the ideas bandied about won't do shit. Read that book if you really care about solving school shootings.

The real question is why is Sheriff Israel still sheriff.

Guess we have to fence in all schools. Install major security at all entries.

The fist thing I'd do is make all doors bio-metric entry & exit. This would prevent students from opening the doors for people which they do. Next, I would re-educate & drill lock down procedures.

U.S. BELOW the world average in terms of the number of mass public shootings. Over the 18 years from 1998 to 2015, the US makes up less than 1.15% of the mass public shooters.

Bill Clinton's DOJ spent millions tax dollars and did an extensive study on Guns in America. Guns were used at least 80x to save life than to take it. 1.5 - 4 million defensive use of guns. They chose not to publicize the findings.

Why weren't law enforcement, school administrators and social services held accountable for failing to do their jobs and protect the students?
