Registration opened on Jan. 1, and many classes are already fully-booked.

Registration for swimming lessons opened online on Jan. 1, and already classes for several levels of lessons are completely booked up until the end of June.

Registration is available online at the City of Prince George’s aquatics website. Lessons are held at the new Canfor Leisure Pool downtown. The Swim for Life program includes parent-and-tot lessons for children as young as six months old, preschool and school age lessons, and adult swimming lessons, and leads into the Lifesaving Society’s lifesaving and lifeguarding training programs.

Registration for level 1 and 2 school age programs are in especially high demand, with classes full from January to June. However, waitlist spots were still available for some classes as of Jan. 3.
