Two weeks before Bryan Christopher Kohberger was arrested in Pennsylvania, law enforcement officials in Indiana stopped him twice and let him go — and both times happened the same day, authorities said.

The stops came about two weeks beforeOn Dec. 15, deputies pulled over Kohberger in Hancock County, Indiana, for “following too closely” on Interstate 70, the sheriff's office said in a statement Tuesday.

Kohberger was driving and had a passenger, who was not identified, when the Hyundai Elantra was stopped about 10:40 a.m., the agency said. He was released with a verbal warning. "At the time of the traffic stop, there was no information available on a suspect for the crimes in Idaho, to include identifying information or any specific information related to the license plate state or number of the white Hyundai Elantra which was being reported in the media to have been seen in an around where the crime occurred,” the statement said.

And nine minutes after he was stopped by sheriff's deputies, Indiana State Police pulled over the vehicle, law enforcement officials said Tuesday. Again, Kohberger, who had a passenger, was released with a warning for driving too closely, state police said.a trooper made the stop, there was no information available about a suspect in the Idaho slayings or any information related to the license plate number for the Hyundai.

"The trooper, having learned the two had been stopped minutes before by a deputy from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, who he knew was working just down the interstate from him, used his discretion and released the two men with a verbal warning," state police said.

My understanding from other legitimate and non liberal news channels; the stops where part of Law Enforcement's survellance!

I’ve seen cops do worse over a pack of starbursts. But sure, let a killer go. It’s not about being 🔮. It’s about being privileged.

Liberal media hypocrisy is still with us with biased tweets that clearly paint law enforcement in a bad light. Perhaps they can't figure out how to report real news. Elon should start looking into this.

Which had absolutely nothing to do with any of this because they didn't have any information or any suspect. But of course NBC wants you to read their article.... Thanks NBC

Well....he wasn't a named suspect, so there's that....

It’s was his dad. That was reported yesterday.

That means nothing that they were pulled over twice. Why highlight it, it was standard protocol. Nothing out of the ordinary, right?

To be fair, it’s Indiana. Keep all expectations low for all state run services 👍

This tells me there was no info released to nationwide law enforcement of a plate and name of the suspect or else it would've been an immediate flag when they ran it. People saying its privilege are just stupid. They're not arresting anyone for speeding, following too close lol

Big whoop. Every time I go to or thru Indiana I get pulled over twice. It drops to 55 around the city and staties are everywhere.

It was the holidays! Let him go. Indiana cops are better than most. They shoot to maime not kill.

It appears NBC news has already judged and convicted this Phd student. There are a lott of unknowns, for example: How did 1 person knife 4 healthy undergrads by himself and it appears they did not defend themselves nor put up a fight? Please explain, thanks.

Posted repeatedly. The man is in custody. Move ON.

Privilege.

Defund the police. They are so incompetent

Criming while white. 🤷🏽‍♂️

We wasn’t known then as a POI or suspect

Why is this even relevant when his information hadn't been released yet? Of course they let him go, why would they arrest a guy for 2 traffic warnings?

Even white killers get treated better by cops then law abiding citizens of color.

Twice, Indiana law enforcement officials stopped a man they had no idea was a possible suspect in the killings of four U of I students and let him go, because there wasn’t a warrant out for his arrest yet….there, fixed your bullshit attempt at a headline.

The guy is on the spectrum just like Lanza

Well, he wasn't named as a person of interest at that point so.......

never know when a psychopath lives near you, works with you, is a relative until its often too late.

Luckily for the killer, they saw a black guy jaywalking, and had to run off to give him a good tasing

Crooked folks do crooked things.

I have never heard or seen anyone get pulled over for following too closely lol but twice in same state 9 mins apart? Clearly Indiana cops use that as their reason to pull people over, none the less they found a reason twice and still let him go...twice

This is what is wrong with society - too lenient. Don’t mess about. If you have a suspicion arrest. I don’t want to go there but if it had been a black suspect, I feel like he will have been arrested in the first instance.

Bolo issued when?

indianablows... lowest of low expectations required to exist here. Majority of cops are 🤡 or 🤡-adjacent.

I fail to understand the point of this article. Minor traffick infractions. Let go with verbal warning. Was probably polite.

TwitterFiles no comment still 🤔 I wouldn’t want to talk about my collusion with FBI DOJ & Twitter to Lie & suppress the truth about corruption & the false election either. U guys were a part of violating our constitutional rights. Treason=Never going to be trusted again! 😂

Like Dahmer all over again.

Is it really that hard for you guys to say 'White privilege?'

Kohberger family are TheDemocrats - not surprised

You know he must have been nervous as hell (after just killing 4 ppl), yet none of these cops picked up on it...I wonder why?

Um...and?

Suspect in Idaho Slayings Was Pulled Over Twice in Indiana Weeks Before ArrestThe suspect in the November murders of four University of Idaho students was pulled over twice while driving in Indiana and let go with a warning by both a Sheriff’s Deputy and a State Trooper more than two weeks before his arrest in Pennsylvania. HiblerDana ........Indiana. No offense to my friends there. That’s what happens when you behave yourself at a traffic stop. Zoom in on his hands... deep laceration on right knuckle, abrasions on both wrists, and side of palm on right hand is very swollen, maybe from the hilt? And his eyes give me the creeps!!
