A Pleasanton woman had to fight for her life after developing a life-threatening infection just days after delivering a healthy baby girl via cesarean section.

Jacob, who spoke with KSAT Friday morning, said the couple decided to go to the local hospital in Jourdanton on Oct. 28 to get Krystina checked out. It turns out Krystina had developed toxic shock syndrome — a rare, life-threatening complication of certain bacterial infections. Jacob said Krystina is still in the hospital and has several skin grafts she still has to get despite the multiple procedures she has already endured.“She’s currently in the ICU and is expected to be in the hospital another 3-4 weeks, followed by inpatient rehab for 3-4 weeks,” Jacob said. “Then she’ll have outpatient rehab.”

KSATRJ That’s aweful!

This breaks my heart.... prayers and positive thoughts for the family 🙏

whats strange is it should be standard for mothers to be prescribed antibiotics on discharge or atleast given a shot post birth. I’m not sure why Drs are selective with this.

Wow

But men don't care about things that don't involve themselves

I can't see their Venmo, could you DM the family's info. I would like to donate 😢😥

How many vaccine shots had she received?
