Spencer Cox released a set of proposals for next year’s state budget. They includedof $6,000, with $4,600 allocated for salary and another $1,400 for benefits. Given the current state of teacher compensation amidst rising inflation across the world, this is a significant proposal.
In reality, a system of school vouchers will subsidize schooling for the rich and religious of the state and introduce several thorny issues into the realm of education. In addition to serving as a subsidy for the rich and religious, there’s a few other underlying issues with this proposal.
GovCox is at his core a bully and has been since High School. Bullies do what they do best, hold people hostage, force their bad ideas on people, and then go to church on Sunday...
I don't see is subsidizing anyone. The government says all children must have an education, and taxes are used to accomplish that. So, I should be able to educate my child where I want; the goal is education, not indoctrination.
The money is only being paid to grease the skids for school vouchers.

We can’t claim to care about education, demand better for our kids, expect a workforce that’s prepared for todays world- and pay teachers poverty wages. Teachers have to invest in college plus graduate education & those costs. They deserve a professional salary.
