Record-challenging temperatures continue into the end of the work and school week.

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says today’s record of 83 will be challenged with mostly sunny skies.LISTEN:Sunny skies are on the way tomorrow with near record highs once again. The record is 84 degrees set in 2013.

Buresh says we are mainly dry through the weekend and not quite as warm. Winds will be off the Atlantic and temperatures Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid-70s, still above average Monday appears to be our next chance for rain, albeit a brief shower chance, and temperatures stay above average in the mid-70s.
