“It was more challenging than I actually thought it would be,” Poier said. “When we started looking for teams back in the spring, some school divisions weren’t allowing travel; some teams couldn’t commit at that time. Some teams were hesitant and wanting to do more in-province travel. She said the final tournament roster will be unveiled after local squads take part in a play-in event Dec. 14.
