I'd send it back to them with a note 'stuff this patronising gift up your ass' then I'd play poker, get drunk, and leer at nurse. What they gonna do about it?
It'd be nice if they actually visited them. My grandmother is in a home and out of 100 children, grand children and great grandchildren only four of us regularly visit her. It's very sad and puts more stress on the family but...karma! 😪

Me too! Have worked as a carer assistant for 24 years and not wouldn't wish anyone to go in a care home. Have seen things happen that unfortunately inspectors do not find!
