Higher-ups at the Navy have instituted new regulations allowing for the recruitment and contracting of applicants who score near the bottom of one of its aptitude tests, according to a Monday report from Military.com.
The new guidelines come amid a recruitment crunch that sees the Navy facing down an active-duty enlistment goal higher by several thousand sailors than last year’s, which the sea service succeeded in cresting by just a few dozen enlisted recruits. A spokesperson for the Navy Recruiting Command told Military.com that the adjustment of the Armed Forces Qualification Test requirement “removes a potential barrier to enlistment, allowing us to widen the pool of potential recruits.
So basically they want the bottom of the barrel applicants 👀
Slash the DeptofDefense budget.
Abolish the DeptofDefense budget.
Enlist the MAGAs.
SmartCaseStrat Low unemployment numbers shrink the pool.
Lol! Mandates and weed forces the stupid ones
Or ya know, the Navy or military as a whole, do more to make service more attractive? Problem is, they can't retain anyone, because service life sucks for a host of reasons and nobody wants to go in because it ain't a secret that service life sucks.
Nothing but the WORST will do.
What’s the army gonna do ? That’s it main pool for the officer corps
This is not good...
This will NOT end well. If you can't get a good score on the ASVAB not only do you not deserve to be in the military, you probably shouldn't be left at home alone or anywhere near a car...stove...sharp objects
I mean you make more at McDonald's, without so many shitty side effects
