ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Children at the Queen Elizabeth Elementary School received a visit from Magic Toothbrush author Marlene Bryenton and illustrator Leanne Bowlan to officially launch the book’s video.
The two visited three classes of Grade 2 students, who previously received a copy of the storybook as a take home gift. Organizers said it was clear students spent time with the book as they sang along to the sound without any guidance.The jazzy brush, brush, brush your teeth song, which is performed to the tune of row, row, row, your boat, serves as the background music for the Magic Toothbrush animated video.During their stop, Bryenton and Wolvers explained how the children’s storybook was developed and published.
Bryenton also showed the students Steven, a children's storybook she wrote and illustrated at age 11 in Grade 6, which had a great impact on her future artistic ventures.
