Aisha BuhariThe Guardian learnt that the case withdrawal came on the heels of widespread condemnation of the action and intervention by rights activists, women groups, Amnesty International and the National Association of Nigerian Students among other Nigerians.
While issuing the release warrant, Justice Yusuf Halilu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court commended Aisha Buhari for withdrawing the case, and called on parents to monitor what their children do in avoidance of such situation. Mohammed, a 500-level student of Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, had been charged to court and remanded at Suleja Correctional Centre, Niger State, for tweeting that the first lady was feeding fat on the poor people’s money
“We are concerned that despite the call from Nigerians nothing has been said by the office of the First Lady or the government in this regard to counter the narrative. “These actions also infringe on Section 35, Chapter 4 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which states that an arrested person must be brought before a competent court of law within a reasonable time of 48 hours. It has been over 21 days since their arrest.
How many days is remaining for her to cease being first lady and she is concluding it with more wickedness against innocent citizens. God is the ultimate judge and only time shall tell.
Judge who? He wants slavery to continue? May the judge's children never be able to talk or point out the ills of his/their society
They are laughing at their performance in Nigeria, una tried
The voice of the people.
Justice Yusuf Halilu is CRAZY. Not parents, but people of real and contrived power should be cautioned about abuse of power and violations of rights of fellow citizens. That a judge wouldn't stand up for rule of law but traffic in vacuous bootlicking is most opprobrious!
She for no withdraw. Lioness in a sheep clothing.

Judge, was the charge Aminu committed under the jurisdiction of your Court or have you expunged jurisdiction in your status? Aminu, welcome back to freedom. Same way Nigerians stood up over the murder of Deborah. As Citizen, learn to stand for good over evil without sentiments.
