Dozens of Uvalde shooting survivors sued responding officers and others in a Texas federal court, seeking $27 billion in damages, for taking more than an hour to stop the gunman

The survivors say they were traumatized by how slowly officers responded to the deadliest U.S. school shooting since Sandy Hook

Members of the school board in Uvalde, Texas, briefly listened to public comments during a scheduled meeting Wednesday, before voting unanimously to terminate district police chief Pete Arredondo. Students, parents, teachers and school staff said in the lawsuit filed this week that they were traumatized by the first responders’ failure to intervene in the May shooting.

Yet they voted for gun lover Abott

Ouch. That’s gonna put a dent in the municipal budget.
