Bryan Harsin entered Jordan-Hare Stadium for 12 gamedays as the head coach of Auburn football. On Wednesday night, he visited his old office as a spectator.
Harsin sat in the rows behind the home sideline as his son, Davis Harsin, played with Auburn High in the night opener of the, the yearly state championship games hosted this year on the Tigers’ campus. The younger Harsin is a junior quarterback and backup for head coach Keith Etheredge, which tried to stop Thompson High from a fourth-straight blue map.
The Warriors won 49-24 behind 171 team rushing yards and five touchdowns from eighth-grade quarterback Trent Seaborn. Davis Harsin led a pair of touchdown drives in the final frame. The 2024 quarterback, rated as a three-star on 247Sports, completed eight passes for 76 yards, including two rushes for eight yards and one passing touchdown.
Bryan Harsin finished with a 9-12 record in his one-plus season after coming from Boise State. His ability to recruit in the wider corners of Alabama had been a point of contention among high school coaches. Harsin got five in-state commitments in 2022, two of which were from the local program.
And they got slaughtered by Alabaster. Go Warriors!!
