This time, the conversation begins with Carlisle as the focal point. That has people invested in the local campus feeling hopeful. PennLive asked Penn State for application numbers from the two schools Tuesday, including how many students applied to both, but had not received a response at this writing.Supporters of the Carlisle campus say there are several reasons why it may have earned priority status in this equation. While significantly smaller than the other two, Shultz noted that the law school has historically offered good jobs and brought professionals to Carlisle who would never have landed here otherwise, and who have made their mark in a variety of community-lifting ways.
But overall, he said, “the Penn State affiliation has been a wonderful success, and my feeling is that with just one law school we’re only going to have greater success.”
