She's a disgrace to the Western Cape education department. Her intentions were not to promote diversity but to stir tension. In a school that is diverse and serving its community well. She deserves to be relieved of her post. Kids need positive role models.

Blasphemy should not be a state prescribed crime. With Freedom of Religion there should also be an understanding that no one’s religion enjoys state protection as such. The CRT was horrible, but not blasphemous.

It would be interesting to read a poetry appreciation by any of the judges awarding the prize. At the end of the day using that poem is stupid, counter productive and shows the severe mental limitations of the trainer who I doubt is schooled in teaching.

Asanda did a sterling job. Schools should never promote white christian beliefs as the Jesus that was been forced on many Africans was apparently white and every other African beliefs were viewed as paganism. Christianity should not be enforced in public schools anymore.

if the poem is addressing the common portrayal of Jesus as a white man, then that's just challenging perceptions that don't have much foundation in fact. The fact that something offends the ACDP doesn't make it blasphemous, illegal or unsuitable for teenagers.
