The parents of a 'bright' 17-year-old girl have spoken of their devastation after she died from taking MDMA at a sleepover.
"She had lots of friends and was always smiling and laughing." He added: "She was outgoing, active, and spent time with friends. She was a bright thing." Family members have raised concerns about what happened after she was taken ill and whether more could have been done. Lila's mum Emma said: "She was kind, confident, funny, and just full of life.Emma said she wanted other parents and children to be aware of the dangers. She said: "If you have taken drugs with friends, at the first sign of distress, ring an ambulance immediately, or an adult, and get help.
Leon said: "She was my little cousin but our families have always been really close so I saw her more as a little sister. She was really kind and always fun to be around, and also very talented.
Not that bright taking MDMA at sleepover is she!
