A 22-year-old student of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Emmanuel Ujedibe, has been arrested for allegedly killing a commercial sex worker, Peace, in a hotel in Asaba, for stealing his iPhone 11 pro max.

Ujedibe, who was paraded alongside 16 others for various crimes by Delta State Police commissioner, Mr. Ari Mohammed Alli at the weekend, claimed that the victim stole his phone, hence he killed her.

The commissioner added that the suspect also masterminded his own kidnapped and has so far extorted the sum of N4 million from his father. The Police boss also paraded a man who allegedly killed his wife in Ozoro, in Isoko North Local Council of the state. He said: “The Police received a distress call, through a young brother of the deceased, that the house of one Oghogho Olori, ‘f’, 42, was locked from outside while an offensive odour was emitting from the apartment.

“The Police swiftly mobilised men who broke into the apartment and discovered that the victim had been murdered and the husband was nowhere to be found.“Consequently, the husband of the victim reported himself at the Police station and confessed to the crime, stating that he murdered her over a disagreement.”
