Where I live the teachers are well paid, and work a normal work week with few exceptions for parent/teacher meetings week etc, they have numerous “planning” or training days, & enjoy civil servant leave structure. Another bonus is the additional 10-12 week annual vacation, so…..

I think teachers are leaving mostly due to classroom behavior problems. Teaching in public school after children have had almost 2 years of doing whatever they pleased is near impossible. The lack of respect I’d from the kids, not parents.
