"Our crews have worked through the night and continue to safely restore power after the extensive damage caused by yesterdays storm," read the latest update this morning.Alice Springs Mayor, Matt Paterson, said in a Facebook post last night that council was working "as quickly as we can" to remove trees from blocked roads.At Alice Springs Airport, forecasters observed 76kph wind gusts at 5:47pm.
