A mum has been left furious after claiming another pupil attacked her daughter with a compass at Nottingham Academy. Gedling mum Kirsty Baker said daughter Kaliyah Graham, 15, had been attacked by a fellow pupil, who has since been removed from the school.
Police said they were working with the school and safeguarding agencies and the academy confirmed a pupil had been removed over the allegations.Ms Baker said: "It [the alleged incident] pierced the skin and instantly bruised it as it was with force. Then my child rang me saying 'mum I've been stabbed'.
Mum-of-three Ms Baker said she was "upset" and "swearing" by the time she got to the school, furious about what had happened. Neighbourhood Inspector Karl Thomas said: “We are working with the school and safeguarding agencies to arrive at a resolution. This is very much a live and ongoing matter and we are paying close attention to this. We are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter.
