New Braunfels ISD athletic director Jim Streety said Friday that Adams was in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Unicorns coach Glenn Mangold said Adams’ condition had improved Friday. The Unicorns took advantage of another short field after a blocked punt put them on the Rattlers’ 4. Johnson scored from 1-yard out to make it 12-0 with 5:31 left in the second.
