A Barrie school photographer has been charged in connection with two sexual assaults at a Newmarket school, according to York Regional Police.

Police said they started an investigation on Sept. 21 after a female student reported she was sexually assaulted on Sept. 16 while the victim was getting her school photo taken.

Another victim from the same school also came forward during the course of the police investigation and alleged they were sexually assaulted by the same suspect, according York police. Police said they arrested and charged Scott Kresan Tilbe, 30, on Nov. 2. in connection with both incidents. He faces two counts of sexual assault, one charge of sexual interference with a person under 16 and one charge of sexual exploitation, according to York police.
