A burglar slipped away from a student home with thousands of pounds worth of electrical equipment. Jahya Williams broke into student accommodation in Seely Road, Radford, while all the housemates were out.
Officers linked Williams to the break-in and he was arrested at his home on September 23. After initially answering “no comment” to all the questions put to him during a police interview, the 35-year-old later pleaded guilty to the burglary charge.None of the stolen items have yet been recovered. Williams, of Radford Boulevard, appeared before Nottingham Crown Court on October 28, where he was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
