Victorian public school students will be offered free school lunches under a new $300 million Coalition election promise to combat cost-of-living pressures.
Australia’s consumer price index for the September quarter, released on Wednesday, showed annual inflation haswith fruit and vegetable prices rising 16.2 per cent. “As a parent of three boys, I know how difficult it can be to always provide your child with the best lunch option, at the best of times,” Guy said.“The Healthy Lunches program will take the stress and cost away from parents in providing nutritious food to their children at school.”
