Both, Rishi Sunak and Barack Obama have family links to East Africa. Some have hailed the new PM as Britain's “Barack Obama moment”. What do you think?

To borrow Lloyd Bentsen's phrase, Rishi Sunak is no Barack Obama.

Sweet vengeance on a steady move. Except Africans and Asian Indians won't commit against White Americans or Britishers the atrocities the latter committed out there.

Pumpkin looks like melon but they all have different taste.

What's interesting is that these folks have ties and or distantly related........

This is such nonsense! Forget about the color of his skin. He voted for Brexit, he served under the buffoon BorisJohnson and was never voted to be a PM. Why don't journalists do their freaking job and report on what actually matters?!?! This is NO Obama!!🤯

He will do dirty war like Obama. I hope this time the UK people be against Ukraine war with Russia. NoMore war

Hell no. As would say my brother , the sleeping Joe POTUS , go figure . 😃😃😃😃

So? It doesn't mean anything to Africa 🤣

Having family links to East Africa doesn’t mean more aid or development to this part of Africa. Sunak will prioritize his Britain than other countries for now because the country is currentry in tough economic situation. Development should not be tied to ethnical roots.

While I like to use Rishi’s rise to poke Nigerians, I am pretty sure that Africa is not in Rishi’s consciousness and neither is India. He’s a upper class kinda dude, rich, and privileged. But it still gives us a lot of soft power, especially from a Kenyan perspective.

That’s a fact, he’s only part of the wrong party!

Ughh NO

These world leaders should keep Africa in mind when they make big decisions. Africa only need some hand holding everything else is available here.

Love it!

No. The only similarity with BO is that RS is not white. This point may be signal some movement in the racial political landscape but we should consider the messy circumstances surrounding this, and in light of his inability to have the support in the first round.

This is a serious job, many lives and businesses depend on the decisions of this government. Where he comes from is irrelevant imho.

Let's See whether he has Balls, or he's Just another Cry-baby destined to quit

He is there for money and his ego.

Joke.

Kenya again

Just say 'both have family links to Kenya' period

And yet he won't do anything for Africans like his American Bro.

I pray for him, if racism will not take center stage of his emergence or an opportunity to purge Brits majority discriminatory lifestyle in them, if I may ask will they take his order or he's been made puppetry status in govt, am watching

What did Africa benefit from Obama? Killing Gadaffi of Libya? You must be jokers! I don't expect anything special from Sunak.

He was born in Southampton 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Yeah, not quite.

Not by any strectch of imagination.

RishiTheJudas
